
Open Enrollment for your 2024 benefits is now open! This is your opportunity to enroll in or make changes to your benefits for next year. You have until November 3 at 4 p.m. to make benefit selections for the 2024 plan year.
How to Enroll
Follow the steps below to enroll, starting today through Friday, November 3.
- Access Workday.
- Click the My Tasks icon (to the left of your profile photo, in the top right corner).
- Click the Open Enrollment Change task, then select Let’s Get Started.
- Click Manage to update your medical elections
- Click Enroll to elect a new benefit plan or change a benefit plan.
- Choose Select or Waive for each medical election. If you do not make an update, your current coverage will continue into 2024.
- Select the Plan Details links to review.
- Modify your coverage, if needed.
- Click Confirm and Continue.
- Click Review and Sign.
- Click I Accept.
- Click Submit.
- After you make your elections, print or save a benefits confirmation statement for your records. The statement will show your benefits elections effective Jan. 1, 2024.
To add or modify additional benefits, dependents, and designate beneficiaries, please visit HR Total Rewards and click Group Health Care > Overview> Enrollment Instructions.
Note: If you have a pending qualified event status change (e.g., hire, birth, adoption or legal guardianship, divorce or dissolution of domestic partnership, employee or dependent gains/loses other coverage, and marriage or domestic partnership), this enrollment event must be completed before you can enroll during Open Enrollment.
Status of Anthem and UC Health contract negotiations: Both Anthem and UC Health remain dedicated to achieving a comprehensive agreement by the end of this calendar year, and strive to secure a new contract agreement moving forward. LMU remains committed to providing you with the most up-to-date information, as the university learns more from the providers. You can read the most recent communication from VP Pluzdrak here.

Do I Need to Take Action?
Even if you don’t want to make changes to your LMU benefits, you may still need to enroll.
Full Time Faculty and Staff
YES, you should enroll if you want to:
- Change your medical, dental or vision coverage for 2024
- Enroll in a Heath Care or Dependent Care Flexible Spending Account (FSA) for 2024
- Enroll in a Health Savings Account (HSA) or make additional contributions to the HSA in 2024
- Enroll in or change hospital indemnity insurance, critical illness insurance, accident insurance or group legal coverage with MetLife
- Add or drop a dependent from your coverage
Part Time Faculty and Staff
YES, you should enroll if you want to:
- Change your medical, dental or vision coverage for 2024
- Enroll in a Heath Care or Dependent Care Flexible Spending Account (FSA) for 2024
- Enroll in a Health Savings Account (HSA) or make additional contributions to the HSA
- Add or drop a dependent from your coverage
