But across the board, fewer Angelenos than last year predict an improvement in the economic conditions that affect their daily lives. Those surveyed blame higher housing costs in Los Angeles and a belief that the disparity between rich and poor will continue to widen.
Roberti, who graduated from Loyola University in 1961, served as a member of the Assembly and state Senate for a combined 28 years. He was Senate President Pro Tem from 1980 to 1994.
The survey, conducted by the Thomas and Dorothy Leavey Center for the Study of Los Angeles, found 85 percent of those who responded said they supported the city’s bid for the 2024 summer games – a higher level of support than found in two previous polls over the last two years.
