LOS ANGELES — Loyola Marymount University’s Thomas and Dorothy Leavey Center for the Study of Los Angeles (StudyLA) will release the results of its 2024 Angeleno Poll this month in a four-part webinar series.
The annual survey, which reaches more than 2,000 Los Angeles County residents each year,
provides an important overview of respondents’ quality-of-life perceptions, economic concerns, overall life satisfaction, and opinions on various civic issues facing the region.
Each one-hour event will focus on a different topic and feature a moderated discussion with
invited guests who will lend their expertise and weigh in on the survey results:
- March 12 at 11 a.m.: Belonging in Los Angeles: The Black Experience with Tolu M.
Wuraola, data analyst for the Los Angeles County Anti-Racism, Diversity, and Inclusion
(ARDI) Initiative; and Chaya Crowder, LMU assistant professor of political science. - March 14 at 11 a.m.: Planning for the Future of Housing with Vince Bertoni, director of planning for the city of Los Angeles.
- March 19 at 11 a.m.: Empowering L.A. in the Fight Against Climate Change with Martin Adams, general manager of the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power.

StudyLA’s 11th annual survey was conducted by phone, online, and in person in English, Spanish, Mandarin, and Korean from Jan. 3 to Feb. 2, 2024. The survey reached 2,011 respondents and has a margin of error of +/- 3.0%.
Each webinar will start with a presentation of the data by StudyLA’s Brianne Gilbert, managing director, followed by a conversation with invited guests moderated by Fernando J. Guerra, Ph.D., founding director and professor of political science and Chicana/o studies.
All webinars are open to the public and will take place over Zoom. Audience members will have
the opportunity to submit questions. Registration links are available at lmu.edu/studyLA. More about the Angeleno Poll is available online here.
