Propel LMU, the multi-year project responsible for implementing Workday as the university’s new finance and human resources software platform, continues to progress toward the June 27, 2021, go-live date.
This summer, representatives from across the university have been actively engaged in building the framework for LMU’s future Workday platform. Beginning in May, subject matter experts representing many user perspectives were convened from across the university for a series of intensive sessions that will help inform the design and user experience of LMU Workday.
Soon, a diverse set of constituents will contribute to the configuration and prototype phase, which will offer a “test sandbox” for individuals to review the initial setup and provide valuable input.
If you or a colleague is invited to join the prototype phase, your participation and candid feedback is encouraged – the development and implementation of Workday is a shared goal among our LMU community; varied perspectives from across all constituents are essential to a successful final product.

The university’s existing finance and human resources software was implemented in 1998, and the vendor has shifted its investment resources away from the software LMU uses. As a result, the selection and implementation of a new software is compulsory.
