
With a new semester underway, and the inevitable health resolutions that come with each January, LMU Dining Services recently announced a series of new wellness-inspired culinary dishes that Lions can find across campus this spring semester. The new menu additions focus on whole, locally sourced ingredients, scratch-made selections, and access to a variety of entrees made fresh daily.
Modern Recipe, billed as “a contemporary approach to fresh artisan food,” is now open at The Lair and highlights the diverse flavors of each season. Preview their menu below or learn more at LMU Dining’s FAQ website.
Natural – Fresh smoothies, juices, yogurt bowls, and savory toasts that are made to order.
- Crave-able choice: Vegan-everything toast, featuring vegan cream cheese and smoked paprika carrot lox, tomato, red onion, and capers, topped with everything bagel seasoning and served on freshly roasted garlic toast. Gluten-free options are available upon request.
Made to Order Salads – Local fresh fruits and vegetables tossed to order and topped with a selection of house-made dressings and condiments.
- Crave-worthy: Spicy sesame tofu bowl, served with sliced carrots, brown rice, chickpeas, pickled onions, and an arugula pesto pine nut drizzle.
Salad bar – A colorful, nutrient-dense array of fresh produce and house-made salads.
- Crave-worthy: Pair baby arugula with quinoa, add roasted beets, sesame ginger tofu, and top it with red radish and fresh seedless cucumbers. Add a cup of the chef’s daily soup offer.
Deli – Boar’s Head Deli dishes out made-to-order sandwiches and wraps served with house-made potato chips.
- Crave-worthy: Garden ranch wrap served with sliced Boar’s Head smoked turkey or make it vegan. Sandwiches can be pressed by request.
Omelet – Cooked to order at every meal with a choice of cage-free eggs or JUST Egg, a plant-based alternative.
- Crave-worthy: Southwest steak and potato omelet served with hash browns.
Global – Daily rotating menus, highlighting ingredients and flavors from around the world.
- Crave-worthy: Korean pork belly bao, complemented by a ginger soba noodle salad, kimchi, and a sweet Thai chili sauce.
Hearth – Weekly rotating pizza selections using fresh local produce and vegan alternatives.
- Crave-worthy: Hand-tossed pizza topped with barbecue sauce, fresh mozzarella and parmesan cheeses, barbecue chicken, and crisp red onions.
Bakery – Fresh baked goods from Homeboy Bakeries
- Crave-worthy: Sample an array of individually packaged gluten-free pastries and cookies.
