Human Resources is pleased to bring you the 2023-24 staff performance review cycle in Workday. The review cycle kicks off Monday, May 13 and runs through Wednesday, July 31.
The first step in the process is the staff Self-Evaluation, which should be completed no later than Friday, June 24. This is a great opportunity to reflect on the past year’s performance, engage in discussion, and plan for the next year.

IMPORTANT HIGHLIGHTS
- Staff members should complete the Self-Evaluation task in Workday no later than June 24. Self-evaluations are required; however, there is an option to opt-out by noting N/A in all required fields.
- Supervisors are responsible for completing reviews and meeting with staff members by Friday, July 31.
- Staff members are responsible for acknowledging receipt of the performance review within Workday.
- Reviews are stored electronically and do not need to be printed or sent to HR.
- Utilize the Workday Support app after logging into Workday to find performance review reference guides to assist in completing performance reviews. For further assistance, please refer to the Manager Performance-Review Guidelines.
WHAT’S NEW
- As part of this year’s performance review process, managers will need to verify their direct report’s Required Compliance Training completion.
- We have also introduced an Overall Performance Rating to effectively and consistently link performance with merit.
PERFORMANCE REVIEW TRAINING OPPORTUNITIES
Training sessions are being offered for both managers and non-managers beginning May 20 through June 20. We highly recommend attending this training to get familiar with the Workday layout, learn about new features, and ask questions related to conducting performance reviews.
Don’t wait! Register for training sessions by logging into Workday, selecting the Learning app, and from the Learning home page, select Discover to browse learning content. Look for the “Conducting LMU Performance Reviews” learning course.
