Loyola Marymount University’s current foodservice contract with Sodexo is coming to the end of its 10-year agreement. In preparation for this, it is important for the university to assess its campus dining priorities and evaluate a variety of food service management companies to ensure that the campus community is receiving the best possible services.
To accomplish these goals, LMU is initiating a Dining Services Request for Proposals (RFP) process that will help to shape the future of campus dining services. Sodexo has been invited to participate in the RFP process.
Community feedback will be invaluable to this 18-month process. Areas of interest include, but are not limited to, meal plan models, sustainability and social responsibility, community-building, customer service, catering, and menus that the community would like to see offered at campus eateries.
A cross-departmental steering committee will begin this process by collecting and assessing community feedback submitted through a variety of channels, including focus groups, open forums, and online submission forms.
The first campus drop-in open forum is scheduled for Wednesday, Feb. 7, 11 a.m.- 2 p.m. in VDA 190. Faculty, staff, and students are encouraged to stop by for five minutes or for a whole hour to provide input on a variety of key areas of interest and meet our consulting partners from Webb Foodservice Design. This open forum is designed to allow community members to drop in at any time and stay for as little or as long as they would like There is no structured agenda or program.
Pizza will be available for the first 30 participants.
A Loyola Law School-specific opportunity is scheduled for Thursday, Feb. 8. Specifics will be communicated to the LLS community directly.
