Each year, LMU’s School of Film and Television honors the best in student filmmaking and screenwriting from the past academic year. While a longstanding tradition, this year’s 2021 Industry Awards, which premiered on SFTV’s Facebook page on September 17, certainly took it up a notch.
The reimagined annual event included an incredible jury of industry professionals, such as Yasu Tanida, the director of photography for This is Us; Crystal Moselle, director of Skate Kitchen, and execs from A24, Bad Robot, Anonymous Content, as well as an unprecedented array of sponsored prizes.
Our 2021 winners will receive select packages, software, rentals, and more from some of the top names in entertainment such as Variety, Final Draft, Lightbender, The Black List, Keslow Camera, Apache, and more. Winning films will also be featured at the Newport Beach Film Festival‘s Collegiate Showcase on Saturday, October 23 at 2:45 pm at Triangle theaters. Check out the full list of sponsors.
