LOS ANGELES – Loyola Law School will host the sixth-annual U.S.-China Intellectual Property Summit from 8:45 a.m.-5 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 13 to explore developments in cross-border videogame, artificial intelligence, patent and other rapidly developing IP issues.
The event, co-hosted with the University of California, Berkeley and Renmin University of China, will address a range of emerging issues in IP litigation and cross-border enforcement. Sessions will focus on artificial intelligence, new media developments and other matters that will significantly impact U.S.-China trade.
The Hon. Raymond T. Chen of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit will deliver the keynote address, “Reflections on the Current State of the Patent System.” Speakers will include Professor Seagull Song, director of Loyola’s Asia-America Law Institute; Loyola Professors Jeffrey Atik, Bob Brain, Jay Dougherty, Justin Hughes, Karl Manheim; and Justin Levitt, Loyola’s Associate Dean for Research.
