The sixth DNC presidential debate, taking place at Gersten Pavilion on Dec. 19, 2019, will be the most intensive and complex event LMU has ever conducted. In the short four weeks leading up to the debate, LMU This Week will be providing regular updates to the community containing important information regarding the event, associated programming, and logistics.
If you currently have meetings planned in the weeks leading up to Dec. 19, it is critical that you contact Conference and Events Services as soon as possible via scheduling@lmu.edu.
Commitments to the DNC production have limited the available space on campus, and a hold has been placed on all event spaces for the period of Dec. 16-20. Campus watch parties will be kept to a minimum in order to dedicate full support and resources to the debate proceedings. Space will be maximized during this period so, to reiterate, campus event organizers must contact Conference and Event Services via scheduling@lmu.edu to ensure space is available for non-debate related events.
LMU This Week has addressed some of the topics of interest, such as ticketing, volunteer information and safety, in an earlier issue.
LMU continues to explore a variety of opportunities for students, faculty and staff to participate. There is no guarantee about how many opportunities there are or what they will be yet. Information will be shared as soon as agreements are finalized.
Members of the general public, not affiliated with the university, who want to participate, are encouraged to visit the DNC website to explore opportunities.
