Evelyn McDonnell, professor of journalism and new media at LMU, covered the opening night of Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band’s “Land of Hope and Dreams” tour in Minneapolis. Springsteen addressed the audience, saying: “the power, the solidarity of the people of Minneapolis, of Minnesota, was an inspiration to the entire country,” continuing the themes of politics and resistance that are hallmarks of his career.
