Eric Strauss, executive director of LMU’s Center for Urban Resilience, discussed the rise of coyote sightings in neighborhoods across Los Angeles. “With the environmental stress of a drought and extreme heat, you see not only coyotes, but all kinds of wildlife modifying their behaviors because their resources are being constrained and they’re being pushed to the limits of their metabolic capacity, so they’re looking for solutions.”
