Jessica Levinson, professor at LMU Loyola Law School, shared context on the Supreme Court case that will examine mail-in voting, the outcome of which could potentially change the way voters show up to the polls. “The legal issue here is whether or not states can allow this grace period where you can mail in a ballot that’s postmarked by Election Day, but it’s not received until after Election Day,” explained Levinson. “Does that still count as voting on Election Day under federal law?”
