Laurie Levenson, professor at LMU Loyola Law School, commented on the arson trial of the Palisades fire suspect, which the judge declared a mistrial. “I’m not surprised in some ways that this is the result of this first trial, nor am I surprised that the prosecutors are talking about retrying the case. They might have more of an advantage the second time around now that they’ve seen the defense.”
