Justin Levitt, professor at LMU Loyola Law School, commented on the Supreme Court ruling Wednesday that a Louisiana congressional map is an unconstitutional racial gerrymander, limiting the Voting Rights Act. “This is a full gut. This is burn the house down and pretend the house still exists because you can point to where the foundation used to be,” said Levitt who was a senior policy adviser for democracy and voting rights during the Biden administration.
