Today in L.A. featured Special Games, a longstanding campus tradition that brings together the disability community of greater L.A. for a day of fun, friendship, and personal growth on LMU’s Westchester campus. Special Games had new partners on hand for the event on Saturday, March 22; the LA84 Foundation and Skechers joined the Games’ existing partner, the Los Angeles Rams.
‘It really honors and celebrates the disability community,” said Patrick Furlong, director of LMU’s Pam Rector Center for Service and Action. “I think for years it was seen as a service to the disability community, but I think we see it as a lot more mutual now.”
