Fernando Guerra, director of LMU’s Center for the Study of Los Angeles, iterated the importance of the L.A. County Superior Court judge races that will elect individuals who interpret criminal law, family law, and more, impacting real Angelenos everyday. “We should care about having honest brokers, educated individuals who understand the law.” Fifteen seats are open, making up the largest portion of the June primary ballot for county voters.
