Fernando Guerra, director of LMU’s Center for the Study of Los Angeles, discussed results from the center’s recent survey examining L.A. County voter preferences. The poll found that voters in the 2026 L.A. mayoral race favor City Councilmember Nithya Raman, with 32.5% of respondents listing her as their top pick, followed by Mayor Karen Bass with 17.0% of the share, and Presbyterian minister, community organizer Rae Huang close behind with 16.6%.
