The L.A. Sentinel included LMU’s Digital Veterans Legacy Project in its Top 10 National Stories of 2025. The DVLP engages LMU and high school students in archiving the lives of Buffalo Soldiers and other underrepresented veterans interred at the Los Angeles National Cemetery through digital biographies. The Sentinel characterized its top ten stories as sharing “a common thread: communities standing firm amid political pressure, cultural erasure, and systemic change.”
