The L.A. Sentinel features LMU’s Digital Veterans Legacy Project, now in its fourth year, inspiring LMU and local high school students to create digital biographies of underrepresented veterans at the Los Angeles National Cemetery for the Veterans Legacy Memorial website. Project lead Dr. Deanna Cooke encourages relatives to update veterans’ pages: “If your grandfather, uncle, or great-grandfather served and received veterans burial benefits, there is likely a page for them. This is a way to keep their memory living.”
