The Laband Art Gallery’s spring exhibition, “Noni Olabisi: When Lightning Strikes,” is featured on the list of top shows to see in L.A. by Hyperallergic, which describes the artist’s murals as “honest depictions of Black struggle and resilience.” The exhibition “showcases the work of this significant but underappreciated artist through more than 40 artworks spanning 1984 to 2022, the year of her unexpected death.”
