13 formerly incarcerated students graduated from LMU Loyola Law School’s Independent Forensic Gang Expert College this weekend. The program aims to help the court better understand gang involvement and hopes to challenge California’s gang enhancement law. Marisa Harris, co-leader of the college, said the graduates “are such an important part of changing the narrative in the court and criminal justice system at-large.” My News L.A. also covered the story.
