Laurie Levenson, professor at LMU Loyola Law School, was quoted in Bloomberg Law on courts disqualifying Trump administration U.S. attorney appointments. Following a ruling that Alina Habba’s appointment as acting U.S. attorney in New Jersey was unlawful, Levenson explained: “The court’s remedy seems to be to disqualify, it doesn’t necessarily mean that the case is going away.” She noted the administration’s approach is “to disregard as much as possible what the court rules… until they’re forced to do so.”
