Associated Press | ‘Filipino Towns’ Around the U.S. Preserve History and Raise Community’s Visibility

Joseph Bernardo, adjunct faculty in the Department of Asian and Asian American Studies at LMU’s Bellarmine College of Liberal Arts, was quoted in the Associated Press on the growing movement to establish Filipino Towns across the United States. Bernardo explained that “more Filipino Americans care about cultural pride and want a community space to reflect that.”
