Vanessa Diaz, associate professor of Chicana/o and Latina/o studies at LMU, was quoted in AP News on Bad Bunny becoming the first Spanish-language artist nominated for album, song, and record of the year simultaneously. “There’s so much amazing Latin music that has been overlooked and that’s part of what is so beautiful about this moment,” Diaz said. She teaches a course on Bad Bunny and Puerto Rico and co-authored “P FKN R: How Bad Bunny Became the Global Voice of Puerto Rican Resistance,” to be released later this month.
