Los Angeles Times: “Whenever it comes to these potential conflict of interest cases or ethical issues, we’re all just worried that somebody in public office is making decisions to benefit their spouse or their kid or their friend, but not the rest of us,” said LMU Loyola Law School Professor Jessica Levinson, former president of the Los Angeles Ethics Commission. “At the very basic level, that’s the concern.”
