Biography: Robbie Nakatsu, Ph.D., is a professor of information systems and business analytics whose work focuses on AI and machine learning, data science and analytics, IT management, and database management systems. He has taught undergraduate and graduate courses in database management systems, business information technology, technology management, and artificial intelligence, and is known for making complex technical concepts accessible to broad audiences.
Nakatsu is the author of Diagrammatic Reasoning in AI (2010) and is currently writing a new book, Principles and Practices of Data Science and Machine Learning with Python, which integrates theory, practical methods, and interpretability techniques for researchers, students and professionals seeking to use modern analytics and AI effectively.
His research has been published in leading computer science and IS journals, including Communications of the ACM, Information & Management, IEEE Transactions on Systems, Man and Cybernetics, IEEE Intelligent Systems, Journal of Information Science, and the International Journal of Intelligent Systems.
