LMU has appointed Roberto Aguirre as vice president for Campus Safety Services, following an extensive search that included both internal and external candidates. VP Aguirre, who has served as interim vice president since March 2024, will continue reporting to Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer Rosemarie Rae in his new full-time role.

“Roberto Aquirre has earned the deep respect of his peers through his integrity, mentorship, and dedication to LMU,” said EVP Rae. “His exemplary leadership and deep understanding of our community made him the clear choice to lead Campus Safety Services. We are confident that his vision and commitment will continue to enhance the safety and well-being of our LMU community.”
VP Aguirre joined LMU in 2011 as an account coordinator for Facilities Management. He earned his MBA from LMU’s College of Business Administration in 2015, and steadily advanced, serving as Director of Safety and Compliance before stepping into the interim vice president role. His leadership, integrity, and mentorship have made a lasting impact with the LMU community, reflected in the strong support for his appointment among peers and colleagues.
As vice president, Aguirre will oversee public safety and environmental health measures for the Westchester and LMU Loyola Law School campuses, ensuring first-rate emergency preparedness, conflict resolution, and community-building efforts. He will collaborate with LMU Campus Safety personnel, Student Affairs, and internal and external partners to promote a secure and inclusive campus environment.
“I am honored to step into the role of vice president and continue serving the LMU community in this capacity,” said Aguirre. “LMU has an incredible culture of collaboration and care, and I look forward to working alongside our dedicated team to foster a safe, welcoming, and resilient campus environment for all.”
VP Aguirre will assume his new role on February 17.
