In just over a month, LMU will welcome the Los Angeles Rams to the Westchester campus for their summer training camp, ahead of the 2024 NFL season. It marks significant progress in the LMU and Rams collaborative partnership, and is an exciting time for both the campus community and members of the Rams organization.
The university shares the following details surrounding logistics and campus operations, that will extend for the duration of camp. Further information will be shared via LMU This Week as training camp nears.
Parking
From July 15 – Aug. 4, LMU faculty, staff, and students will only be able to park in Rosecrans Lane, Whelan Lane, Del Rey Underground, and University Hall. See the camp parking map for additional details.
During this time, LMU will waive parking permit deductions for all staff and faculty with an active parking permit, for the two pay periods running July 7-20 and July 21 – Aug. 3 for staff, and July 1-15 and July 16-31 for faculty.
Loyola Boulevard Gate Closure
Between July 15 – Aug. 4, the Loyola gate will be closed to all vehicular traffic entering campus. Vehicles will still be able to exit campus via Loyola Boulevard but all incoming traffic must go through LMU Drive.
LMU staff, faculty, and students will be able to access the Loyola Boulevard pedestrian gate on foot by showing their valid OneCard. The entrance will be closed for all other pedestrians.
Access to Campus
Campus access will be limited to LMU staff, faculty, and students who are required to work or otherwise be on campus, along with conference and event guests. Please be prepared to show your OneCard when entering campus.
Individuals entering campus without a OneCard will be required to show proof of business being conducted on campus (e.g. tour confirmation, conference guest, etc.).
Faculty and staff will still have access to their offices and research space during this time, but may be asked to show their OneCard when accessing certain areas of campus.
For planning purposes, please know that the majority of public practices will be after 3 p.m.
On-Campus Events
The majority of events occurring during training camp will experience minimal to no impact. Regardless, all individuals hosting events on campus between July 15-Aug. 4 have been contacted by the Conference and Event Services scheduling office to confirm details or alternative options. If you have any questions or concerns, please reach out to scheduling@lmu.edu.
Tickets
Tickets to open practices are managed through the Rams Training Camp website. Tickets became available on June 26 and are currently sold out, but fans can continue to check back in case more become available.
