Over the past year, LMU has engaged the community about the financial model and path forward for the LMU Children’s Center (LMUCC). These important conversations will continue, but with recent changes in executive leadership, the university is reaffirming the LMUCC’s essential role in its mission and clarifying its future direction.
- LMU is not closing the Children’s Center.
- LMU will invest more than $1 million in the 2025-26 period to address the repairs and maintenance of the LMUCC’s facilities, to maintain a safe, welcoming, and high-quality environment for the children in our care.
- LMU will continue to collaborate with the community on the LMUCC’s financial model, thereby strengthening its long-term sustainability and ensuring access for all members of our community.
- LMU will launch an ambitious fundraising initiative to reimagine and rebuild the LMUCC for generations to come, ensuring it remains a model of excellence in early childhood care and education.
LMU recognizes the LMUCC as a vital part of our community — supporting families, advancing our mission, and shaping future generations. We express gratitude to the LMUCC community for its support, and we look forward to building this next chapter together.
