Later this month, LMU will welcome the Los Angeles Rams to the Westchester campus for their summer Training Camp presented by UNIFY. This marks the second consecutive year that LMU – the exclusive higher education partner of the Rams – will host Training Camp, offering fans of the Rams and the LMU Lions the opportunity to see the team up close.
A few notes to keep in mind as we welcome our NFL partners:
Parking
The university has enhanced its approach to parking this year with several adjustments:
- Special parking guidelines will be in place July 14 to Aug. 6. Please pay close attention to all signage and traffic control officials.
- The LMU community (faculty, staff, and students with a valid permit) will have expanded access to multiple parking areas, including University Hall, Drollinger Lower Level, Rosecrans Lane, Whelan Lane, and Del Rey Underground.
- While the top level of the Drollinger lot will be reserved for Rams overflow parking and summer camp pickups, the Drollinger Lower Level will be available for the LMU community and university guests.
Tickets
LMU will have a limited number of tickets to Rams Training Camp open practice sessions to distribute to students, faculty, and staff on a first come, first served basis. Tickets will be limited to one per person and are non-transferrable. Requests are limited to one per person. Sign up here.
Only those submissions using an @lmu.edu, @lls.edu, or @lion.lmu.edu email address are eligible. Submissions using an external email address will automatically be voided.
Ticket requests must be received by Tuesday, July 15 if not sold out before that date. After July 15, you will be contacted at your LMU email address with more information.
Dining
The Lair will be closed from July 13-Aug. 10; however Roski Dining Room will be open as an option for summer dining.
Loyola Boulevard Gate Closure
Between July 14 – Aug. 6, the Loyola Boulevard gate will be closed to all vehicular traffic entering campus. Vehicles will still be able to exit campus via the Loyola gate, but all incoming traffic must go through LMU Drive.
LMU staff, faculty, and students will be able to access the Loyola Boulevard pedestrian gate on foot by showing their valid OneCard. The entrance will be closed for all other pedestrians.
Access to Campus
Campus access will be limited to LMU staff, faculty, and students who are required to work or otherwise be on campus, along with conference and event guests. Please be prepared to show your OneCard when entering campus.
Individuals entering campus without a OneCard will be required to show proof of business being conducted on campus (e.g. tour confirmation, conference guest, etc.).
Faculty and staff will still have access to their offices and research space during this time but may be asked to show their OneCard when accessing certain areas of campus.
For planning purposes, please know that the majority of public practices will be after 3 p.m.
On-Campus Events
The majority of events occurring during training camp will experience minimal to no impact. If you have any questions or concerns, please reach out to [email protected].
