The fall holiday season is a time of joy for many, but for neighbors facing food insecurity, it can also bring added stress. This November, the Truth, Community Healing, and Transformation Alliance is working with LMU units to collect food donations and participate in a day of service with South Central LAMP, a community partner co-founded by the Religious of the Sacred Heart of Mary.
South Central LAMP’s mission is to provide programs that enable women and their families to achieve their fullest potential through education, personal growth, and community engagement in a supportive and nurturing environment.
As a community partner, we’re joining efforts to provide meals for 100 families—and need your help in making this possible! We are accepting donations from Nov. 3-16. Please see the donation list for accepted items and the locations of our donation bins.
You’re also invited to participate in our Day of Service on Tuesday, Nov. 18, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Volunteers will help assemble meal kits and distribute them to local families at South Central LAMP. We invite you to RSVP to take part in this meaningful day of community impact!
This event is a collaboration with various LMU units and is part of Mission and Ministry’s Us, Here, Now, and Restorative Justice Week.
Together, we can make a difference—one meal, one family, one act of service at a time.
