Vice Provost Kat Weaver invites the LMU community to a community conversation on Monday, May 12th from 3:00-5:00pm in the Ahmanson Auditorium (UNH 1000). This will be the first in a series that Vice Provost Weaver will host, continuing in Fall 2025. In these events, Vice Provost Weaver will provide updates and solicit input from the community, providing a chance for us to celebrate our wins and think forward together. This first community conversation will focus on LMU’s responses to the acute challenges colleges and universities face in the current political climate. Vice Provost Weaver will share updates on LMU’s handling of cuts in federal funding for research. Vice Provost Weaver will be joined by Loyola Law School Dean Brietta Clark, who will share updates on changes to Title VI and implications for higher education. Senate Presidents will also provide end-of-year updates. Conversations sparked during Q&A sections can continue in the atrium following the event, where light refreshments will be provided.
Please RSVP here for event.
