LMU continues to monitor the ongoing wildfires across Los Angeles County and remains connected with public officials and external resources. Please note that university campuses are not currently impacted, and operations are normal. Campus advisories will continue for the duration of this crisis to provide guidance. We will post periodic updates here for your convenience and reference.
Students
At this time, in-person classes will convene as scheduled on Monday, Jan. 13. L.A. County officials have confirmed that the wildfires do not presently pose a threat to LMU campuses. If you have been directly impacted by the fires, please email us at communityofcare@lmu.edu for personalized support resources. Loyola Law School students should email studentaffairs@lls.edu.
Classes Will Begin In-Person on Monday, January 13
At this time, students should plan to return to campus as scheduled before classes begin on Monday, Jan. 13. There are no fires near the Westchester, Playa Vista, or Loyola Law School campuses. Although the situation may change, L.A. County officials have determined there is currently no threat to any LMU campus, and the university plans to hold in-person classes as scheduled on Monday. Campus support resources, including housing and dining, are fully operational for all students. Law school Intersession classes are being held remotely Jan. 8-9.
Faculty and Staff
Employees will resume regular in-person schedules on Friday, January. 10. Please consult your supervisor if you are experiencing extenuating circumstances or require special accommodations.*
