☀️ Summer 2026 Research Spotlight

Faith Brooks `28, a biology major, spent the summer working alongside Professor Cory Evans studying a tumor-related genetic mutation in fruit flies.

Because many fruit fly genes have human counterparts, researchers use them to better understand genetics, disease, and human health.

Through Seaver`s summer research community, Faith gained hands-on experience with microscopy and genetic mapping while contributing to ongoing genetics research.
