Fred Kiesner, professor of management and Conrad N. Hilton Chair in Entrepreneurship, will be honored Friday night in Austin, Texas, as a winner of the Acton Foundation’s national award for Excellence in Entrepreneurship Education….

☀️ Summer Internship Spotlight: Carlin McQueen `27, Television Research Intern at @creativeartistsagency (CAA) in Los Angeles 🎬

After finding the opportunity through Handshake, Carlin joined the team to analyze data across film and television, using Python and SQL to help agents understand how their clients` shows and movies perform across streaming platforms and at the box office.

As a double major in Dance and Information Systems & Business Analytics, Carlin was excited to find a role that brings together both creativity and data. For Carlin, this internship has been the perfect opportunity to combine entertainment and analytics while seeing how data supports the business behind film and television. 💼

Outside of CAA, Carlin is also a Ronald E. McNair Scholar, where they`ve explored how systems can be designed with equity at the center through original research. That experience has made them a stronger analyst, teaching them to ask thoughtful questions, think critically about data, and consider the people behind every system. Those lessons have carried into their work at CAA every day. ✨

We`re excited to see where Carlin`s journey takes them and can`t wait to follow along! 👏
