Happy #LionPrideFriday from Kim Zahraj `26, a junior marketing major and accounting minor from Frankfurt, Germany! 🇩🇪 Kim is a student-athlete on the LMU Women’s Tennis Team (@lmulionswten) and recently joined @lmuaccountingsociety. 🎾

Last summer, Kim completed an internship at @dekabank, an investment bank based in Germany primarily focused on asset management. The internship gave her a glimpse into the competitive landscape and day-to-day operations of working in fund management. She was assigned multiple projects that allowed her to develop her skills and knowledge in finance and research. 🏦

Kim would like to give a shout-out to Professor Richard Minot, her first accounting teacher.

"Professor Minot encouraged me to think about pursuing a career in accounting and to learn as much as possible about a variety of business topics rather than focusing on just one. Furthermore, I am grateful to the athletics department and women`s tennis team for giving me the opportunity to integrate academics and athletics throughout my time as an undergraduate student at LMU.” 🦁

⭐ Alumni Spotlight ⭐ Ryan Brankovic `24 is a recent management & leadership graduate who works at Helios Investment Services (@helioscre) as a medical real estate advisor. Ryan chose the M&L major because it`s a translatable degree that allows him to pursue a career in real estate, philanthropy, or the creative space. 🦁

At LMU, Ryan was a member of @lmusigmachi and @lmu_realestate - both of which helped him build connections with fellow students and industry professionals. Ryan would like to thank Lew Jaffe for the project experience in his "New Venture Management class" as well as Mark Macedo for teaching him real-world real estate practices.

Ryan encourages students to consider studying abroad and attributes much of his success to his experience in London through the Fordham University program. 🇬🇧

"Expanding your worldview and experiencing other walks of life is humbling and will open your eyes to new opportunities. If you can’t make it abroad, the principle still stands: get out of your comfort zone, get involved on campus, and connect with as many people as you can. I also encourage students to take advantage of our beautiful library - it’s a great spot to study or meet like-minded people.”
