Keep an eye on Chris Rudolph ’24, a senior finance major and accounting minor from Irvine! 🦁 Chris is gaining leadership experience on campus as president of @lmu_realestate and director of internal affairs for @lmurha.

If you know Chris, you know he’s passionate about real estate. He`s a proud member of the National Association of Industrial and Office Properties (NAIOP) and the International Council of Shopping Centers (@icsc). He encourages students to join these organizations if they have any interest in real estate because of the great connections and learning opportunities.

Chris has a lot of internship experience under his belt, including stints with @mossandcompany, @skyboundent, and @hardycapital. He’ll be a tax consultant intern with @deloitte in summer 2024.

“I`ve had internships in a few different industries. The lesson that’s had the biggest impact on me is to just be a sponge.”

Chris would like to give a shout-out to the professors whose lessons he continues to leverage: David Offenberg, David Moore, Hai Tran, and James Plečnik. He’d also like to thank Dean Dayle Smith for all she does for CBA and its students. ❤️

Meet Dean Jenkins `25, a junior entrepreneurship major from Malibu who’s a member of @autoclub_lmu and @lmu.es. 🦁

Last summer, Dean interned at Cozack, a fashion production and management company in Downtown LA. During his sophomore year, he launched a clothing company from his dorm room called Carousel406. Dean taught himself garment production skills, which evolved from selling to friends on campus to a fully operational venture. Now based in a garage near campus, Dean provides printing services to local businesses, including the Entrepreneurship Society, and regularly releases new designs on his Instagram @carousel406 and website carousel406.com. 👕

Dean sells his products at Wellness Wednesday and other events that highlight student businesses to connect with peers, advertise his brand, and offer services. LMU has encouraged Dean`s passion for entrepreneurship and equipped him with invaluable resources. Keep working that entrepreneurial mindset, Dean! 👍

Our next student spotlight is Marina Guirguis ’24, a senior accounting major who transferred to LMU in the fall of 2022 from @elcaminoedu. Last summer, Marina studied abroad in Rome, Italy, followed by a two-month audit and tax rotational internship with GHJ. 🌎

Marina is grateful to the @lmuaccountingsociety for expanding her network and opening doors to new opportunities. In fact, that’s how she was introduced to GHJ!

“Majoring in accounting has allowed me to connect with so many people! Transferring to LMU was a bit difficult at first. When I started meeting people with similar interests and experiences, I felt less alone.”

Marina would like to give a shout-out to Professors Laurel Franzen and Zining Li. She met Professor Franzen during transfer orientation, who immediately helped her feel included and get started on her LMU journey. Marina says Professor Li helped her step out of her comfort zone. “I feel like I can ask her anything without feeling judged, and for that, I’m truly grateful.”

Meet Mohini Parmekar ’25, a junior finance major from West Hills, CA! 🦁 Mohini is passionate about numbers and connecting people together, so a career in finance is a natural fit.

Mohini is the treasurer of @lmu_build where she’s responsible for constructing the semester budget as well as overseeing financial transactions. She’s also an SDG Student Ambassador for @ibes.lmu which gives her an opportunity to educate students about the sustainable development goals and their significance in the campus community and beyond. ♻️🌎

Last summer, Mohini served as a growth equity analyst intern at Concordia Capital, a boutique investment bank. The experience was extremely valuable and taught her more about the sell-side of finance.

Mohini is grateful for professors like David Offenberg and Hai Tran who have completely switched her perspective on finance and made learning more enjoyable. She says taking their classes has truly helped develop her critical thinking skills.
