EMBA student Yolla Kairouz has been selected as the recipient of the 2015-2016 Bill Lindsey Endowed Scholarship. Yolla is a seasoned wealth management professional who chose LMU to advance her career. There were several worthy contenders among the EMBA student population, but Yolla stood out because of her strong leadership potential.
Yolla currently serves as vice president and wealth advisor for the Beverly Hills market of Wells Fargo The Private Bank. She has 10 plus years of experience understanding and managing the financial situations for high net worth clients. Yolla earned her bachelor’s degree in economics from California State University, Northridge. In addition, she earned the designation of Accredited Wealth Management Advisor from the College of Financial Planning and holds her FINRA Series 7,63, 65 investment advisory licenses.
“Thank you for the honor of being named the 2015-2016 Bill Lindsey Scholar,” said Yolla. “I am humbled and grateful to be selected amongst colleagues of great talent and character and to join the ranks of esteemed Lindsey Scholars. The spirit and intent of the Lindsey Endowed Scholarship and that of Bill Lindsey is a mission and duty which I am honored to respectfully serve and uphold. Thank you again deeply for the honor, recognition and generosity.”
With the help of over 125 donors, the campaign has exceeded $150,000 in gifts to the Bill Lindsey Endowed Scholarship Fund!
Thanks again to all who have given to this very special scholarship fund. This fund not only allows us to honor Dr. Lindsey and all he did for the LMU EMBA Program, but also allows us to attract highly-qualified and competent students to the program. As you may know, the money raised is invested in the LMU endowment which will distribute interest of 5% each February. Any interest earned over and above 5% will be reinvested in the principal and any new gifts to this fund will also increase the fund’s value. The annual distribution will allow us to award deserving EMBA students like Yolla with a scholarship each and every year in Bill’s honor. With your support, we hope to continue growing the endowment which will allow us to provide support to more than one student each year.
