“My experiences at LMU have taught me to be open-minded and curious to different possibilities. I want to inspire a global community of creative, diverse and empowered movers by sharing my passions for dance and marketing.”
With graduation upon us, we spoke to some of CFA’s talented #LMU19 graduates as they gear up to leave LMU and take on the world. In our We Love Our Grads series, we asked a graduating student from each of our departments to share some words about their time here, as well as their plans for the future.

Majors: Dance and Marketing
Next step: Contemporary Dancer in Los Angeles
Tell us a little about your time at LMU!
Academically, LMU has given me the opportunity to challenge myself as a double major in dance and marketing, and member of the LMU Honors Program. I also furthered my learning by studying abroad in Northern Ireland. During my time at LMU, I performed in and choreographed for LMU dance department concerts and have been involved in IB Modern, one of the LMU dance crews. I worked on-campus as a teaching assistant for Mathematics and Dance Kinesiology. My experiences at LMU have also enabled me to pursue marketing internships outside of school where I promoted Netflix series such as Ozark, The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, and We Speak Dance.
What are your post-graduation plans?
I want to inspire a global community of creative, diverse and empowered movers by sharing my passions for dance and marketing. After graduation, I am pursuing a career as a contemporary dancer in Los Angeles but hope my career will take me to different places all over the world. I will also utilize my marketing skills to promote dance, arts and entertainment. For my senior thesis, I founded SHIFT Dance Intensive. This summer, I will be directing the inaugural SHIFT Dance Intensive which will bring internationally-renowned dancers from LA-based company BODYTRAFFIC to teach in Hong Kong. LMU has given me a variety of skills and a well-rounded education that will help me combine my passions to navigate my own career path. My experiences at LMU have taught me to be open-minded and curious to different possibilities.
What is your favorite thing about LMU?
I will miss my friends and the LMU dance community, especially the LMU Dance Class of 2019, “The Besties.”
What advice do you have for underclassmen?
Have fun, enjoy what you are doing and pursue your passions!
