Sonar Entertainment

Sonar Entertainment is an internationally minded production company that produces movies for television, miniseries, and shows for network and cable programming. They are currently seeking Development Interns for the summer. There are two tracks for this internship—one for the Los Angeles office and one for those who want to read from home and provide script coverage. For the office interns, Sonar is looking for students who are eager to learn, have an eye for the international television market, are fast readers, and have some coverage experience. You will learn about television development, acquiring material such as books for adaptation, overseeing television shows that are currently in production, and act as an assistant to the production company. You will need your own vehicle for occasional runs. The second “read-from-home” track will require reading and writing coverage for scripts, graphic novels and books/manuscripts submitted as potential television shows and movies. Students will have one-on-one meetings with Production and Development executives and receive extensive feedback on their coverage. This is a great opportunity for someone who is interested in pursuing a career in television as a producer, executive, or writer.
