The Loyola Marymount University School of Education is pleased to announce the launch of the SOE Alumni Association. The SOE Alumni Association seeks to connect the diverse SOE alumni together with each other and the LMU School of Education to ensure the continued excellence of the School and to assist alumni on their journey in social, professional and intellectual experiences.
The SOE Alumni Association will be open to all SOE alumni and will focus on three pillars: building community; volunteer service and professional development. The SOE Alumni Association will enhance the School’s current efforts to engage alumni, including through annual networking events and professional development opportunities. This organization will also compliment the work of the SOE’s PLACE Corps and Doctoral Program alumni councils.
“The formation of the School of Education’s Alumni Association will continue to strengthen our efforts to build a robust and connected alumni community,” said Shane P. Martin, dean and professor of the School of Education. “I encourage all of our alumni to get involved with the Alumni Association and learn more about the important leadership role of serving on the Alumni Association Board.”
The first step in this endeavor is the development of the SOE Alumni Association Board. The Board shall function as an advisory board in matters related to the activities, services and communications of the School of Education Alumni Association and will provide counsel and support to the areas of focus and program initiatives of the School’s Alumni Association.
The School of Education would like to thank all those who submitted interest in joining our effort to ensure the continued excellence of the School and to engage alumni in future professional and intellectual endeavors.
