More than 130 Los Angeles area alumni, faculty, staff and community partners gathered at the California Club in downtown Los Angeles on October 22 to connect with colleagues and friends and discuss opportunities to advance education in the region.
Shane P. Martin, dean and professor of the School of Education, acknowledged the evening was an occasion to “thank our alumni for being remarkable ambassadors for the SOE in our area schools and communities, and to thank our partners for their continued collaboration and support.” Martin also presented a new iPad to the winner of the alumni drawing, Kim Indelicato, an alumna of the SOE’s Doctoral Program in Educational Leadership for Social Justice and principal of Linwood Howe Elementary School in the Culver City Unified School District.
