In light of Moonlight’s Academy Award Best Picture win, and the academy’s progress from last year’s #OscarsSoWhite controversy, the Los Angeles Times sat down with seven undergraduate and graduate SFTV students to get their take on the future of film. “We just want Hollywood to hear us. We want to tell so many things that we are facing in our day-to-day lives; we want to express that through our work,” said MFA production student Varun Chopra.
