“Wanna see me comb my hair, really fast?” This popular line delivered by Johnny Bravo, the lead character in the hit Cartoon Network series of the same name could easily by attributed to LMU animation alum Van Partible, at least for a moment. The mastermind behind Johnny Bravo, Partible graces the cover of the December 2013 issue of LMU Magazine in Bravo’s signature hairdo. The cover story, “In and Out of Toon,” focuses on his early career, including some of the ups and downs he confronted along the way.
A companion video, “The Origin of Johnny Bravo,” tells the story of how the series, which he famously developed as his LMU thesis project, came to life.
