As a signatory to the United Nations Principles for Responsible Management Education (PRME) initiative, LMU College of Business Administration is required to submit a Sharing Information on Progress report every two years, capturing activities on how the college is supporting the UN’s 17 sustainable development goals (SDGs).
The CBA is proud to release the 53-page report, which captures activity over a two-year period (2018-2020) and showcases the college’s commitment to a common vision of “building a better future through and for the leaders of tomorrow.”
“This report is an amazing representation of who we are and what we do as a community, with an emphasis on “business as a force for good” and numerous examples that align with AACSB’s goals for engagement, innovation and impact,” said Dayle Smith, dean of LMU College of Business Administration.

Under the leadership of Jeff Thies and Chiray Koo from the LMU Institute for Business Ethics and Sustainability, the report captures the initiatives and activities of a mission-driven college committed to “advancing knowledge and developing business leaders with moral courage and creative confidence to be a force for good in the global community.”
“It’s incredible how much impact we’ve had in our first two years, much of which took place during a global pandemic,” said Jeff Thies, director of the Institute for Business Ethics and Sustainability. “The widespread engagement across the college really comes alive in this report. We look forward to a continued commitment to PRME by developing programming and initiatives that support and advance the sustainable development goals.”
