November holds great significance for the Church, as it is the month we commemorate All Souls, known as the Day of the Dead in some cultures. On All Souls Day and throughout November, we remember our friends and loved ones who have gone before us. In our act of commemoration and remembrance, we recognize the ongoing bond between the living and the dead. The Church acknowledges that we owe the dead our love, and we express this love through our remembrance.
The Jesuit Community at LMU invites you to submit the names of those you wish to have remembered in prayer. The names of the deceased will be placed near the altar in the Chapel of St. Ignatius, located within the residence of the LMU Jesuit Community, and your loved ones will be remembered in the daily celebration of the Eucharist during November.
Eternal rest grant unto them, O Lord,
and let perpetual light shine upon them.
May their souls and the souls of all the faithful departed rest in peace.

RECORDANDO A NUESTROS DIFUNTOS (NOVIEMBRE 2024)
Noviembre tiene un gran significado para la Iglesia, ya que es el mes en el cual conmemoramos a Todos los Fieles Difuntos, conocido en algunas culturas como el Día de Muertos. En el Día de los Fieles Difuntos y durante todo noviembre, recordamos a nuestros amig@s y seres querid@s que nos precedieron. En nuestro acto de conmemoración y recuerdo, reconocemos el vínculo continuo entre los vivos y los muertos. La Iglesia reconoce que debemos nuestro amor a l@s muertos y expresamos este amor a través de nuestro recuerdo.
La Comunidad Jesuita de LMU lo invita a enviar los nombres de aquell@s a quienes desea recordar en oración. Los nombres de los difunt@s se colocarán cerca del altar en la Capilla de San Ignacio, ubicada dentro de la residencia de la Comunidad Jesuita de LMU, y sus seres querid@s serán recordad@s en la celebración diaria de la Eucaristía durante noviembre.
Concédeles el descanso eterno, oh Señor
y brille para ell@s la luz perpetua.
