Dr. Herbert A. Medina was recognized by SACNAS with the Distinguished Undergraduate Institution Mentor Award for his dedication to excellence in science, mentoring, and teaching while exemplifying the SACNAS mission. SACNAS is a national society of scientists dedicated to fostering the success of Hispanic/Chicano and Native American scientists in attaining advanced degrees, careers and positions of leadership. The formal award presentation will be made at the national SACNAS conference in October, 2014.
