The Health Professions Advising program at Loyola Marymount University features one of the top 10 best pre-health advisors in the nation. Courtney Klipp, director of Health Professions Advising at LMU Frank R. Seaver College of Science and Engineering, was named the No. 8 best pre-health advisor in the nation for 2026 by Inspira Advantage.
Klipp guides LMU students through the complex admissions process for medical, dental, and other health professions schools. Her advising work is continually being recognized. Admissions consulting firm Inspira Advantage previously ranked Klipp as No. 31 in 2025.
“This recognition highlights the fact that LMU students have access to personalized guidance, mentorship, and resources that can help them make informed decisions and build strong applications for health professions schools,” Klipp said.
LMU students can take advantage of Klipp’s advising services and resources starting in their first year. First-year pre-health students are invited to the pre-health orientation in the fall semester.

“Orientation is a great opportunity to learn about pre-health services and for students to get a sense of what it’s like to be a pre-health student at LMU,” Klipp said.
Students are welcome to set up one-on-one appointments with Klipp at any point to discuss pre-health prerequisites, extracurriculars, standardized test and application timing, letters of recommendation, personal statements, and more. She encourages all pre-health students to meet with her at least once a semester starting in the fall to ensure they’re on an application timeline that works best for them.
“Students can expect honest, kind guidance, individualized support, and a welcoming environment where questions are encouraged,” Klipp said.
The LMU Health Professions Advising program offers comprehensive resources for undergraduates, including application advising classes where students can practice multiple forms of interviewing, receive feedback on personal statements, and find peer support.
Klipp also runs the Pre-Medical Post-Baccalaureate Program at LMU, which caters to career changers. “With 90% of our graduates getting into health professional schools, LMU is established as one of the top post-bac programs in California.”
