Playa Vista Today Magazine is a weekly magazine covering fresh and fashionable content from around Los Angeles. The magazine has a new digital flip-page format and is the only local publication of its kind for LA’s Westside. They are seeking an exceptional Photojournalist/Videographer to join the team. Candidate must have a sharp eye and ear for visual and natural sound and be available on call for local stories and red carpet events.
The internship will alternate between photo and video journalism. The magazine is looking for someone who is eager to cover events and find creative ways to showcase these events happening around the city with shot sequencing, pacing, sharp editing and the best possible visuals. Additional responsibilities include interviewing business CEO’s, celebrities, and sports professionals. Interns must have previous video photo/editing experience, must own a camera and have access to a computer with Final Cut Pro, or comparable software. Excellent writing, grammar and social media skills are required.
